Aspen/Snowmass does not have an Official Blog however they use Tumblr as another form of blog. The photo above is the home page of Aspen/Snowmass' Tumblr. It is very eye catching and uses branding well. It also has links to every single social platform they are on. They have a very professional looking Tumblr that they use well to publish photos, videos and other "assorted awesomeness"
As you can see above, Aspen/Snowmass uses the same laid back language on Tumblr as they have been using on other social networks. Aspen/Snowmass wants their blog to seem very personal and therefore they inform the reader of who made the post.

The posts by Dave allow you to click his name and go to his twitter account. By clicking we find out that Dave Amirault is the Sr. Interactive Marketing Manager at Aspen/Snowmass. He is responsible for the majority of the posts on Tumbler as well as Twitter. Aspen does a good job of remaining transparent by focusing on a more personal interface with readers.
Unlike Aspen/Snowmass Vail does not have a Tumblr blog but rather an Official Blog. The home page of Vail's blog is above. It is very clean and attractive and offers links to Email Updates, Season Pass Deals and their home webpage. Vail has consistently provided links throughout their different networks for users to navigate to purchase a season pass. This makes it easy for buyers to make a purchase right when they feel the desire to do so. Vail also has links to the various social networks they are on. As you scroll down to the content of the Blog I quickly noticed how massive this blog really is. The list of Categories below shows how many topics Vail blogs about.
Vail vs Aspen/Snowmass
Vail win's hands down when it comes to producing an effective blog. Aspen makes small posts that often only consist of a photo and caption, where vail posts in-depth articles. Aspen should focus of publishing more in-depth content that address topics that are not discussed on other social media platforms. The majority of Aspen's posts are of pre-existing content that is simply spread over the different platforms. Vail again, goes the extra mile and produces unique content specifically for it's blog. Overall Vail produces an excellent and superior blog to Aspen/Snowmass
